I understand that things change & I understand that money is frequently a big reason. In this case it’s not a good enough reason.
When retirement area homeowners originally purchased Presley homes on the Lakes golf course they paid a premium for that privilege, and based carefully on the assessment of their retirement income, they made the commitment. They rightfully expected to enjoy exactly what they paid for. After all, they believed that the promise was protected by deed restrictions. Instead what they got was home worth far less money and than it should be. These seniors have been violated.
It is not OK.
Side note; Perhaps the word promise should be deleted from the dictionary along with the word shame.
