The Annual Ahwatukee Easter Parade

For more than 30 years, our beautifully master-planned community of Ahwatukee has held their Easter Parade on the Saturday morning before Easter Sunday.

It is almost always a glorious sunny day, generally the first one to get a good tan sitting on the sidewalks along 48th St between Warner & Elliot Roads.

Friends and neighbors gather with their children, blankets and picnic baskets to watch local groups participate in the event along with High School bands, Boys & Girl Scouts, church floats & of course the Easter Bunny.

As the community grows in size sprawling to the western edges it seems that our new neighbors simply don’t know what they are missing.

Generations have enjoyed this annual event and I truly hope that they will for years to come.
